Our kung fu class is based on traditional Shaolin teachings and methods, but designed to be fun and also to contain a great workout.
TAI CHI / QI GONG
This is one of the oldest forms of internal Kung Fu. Although primarily practiced today as a “moving meditation”. It is wonderful exercise form for improving Qi balance, circulation, concentration and relaxation.
This class is aimed at weight loss and muscle toning and getting in shape. It is a wake-up call to people who need to get in shape through the most effective exercise Kickboxing to burn fat and gain fine muscles.

The students of the Liu Institute International show their progress in the art by the color of the sash they wear. Each color sash is an up-grade of step (rank) in accomplishment along the way to the ultimate goal of Shaolin pre-discipleship-Golden Black Sash. Requirements for each sash differ between kids, teens and adults.
Testing happens on a monthly basis with larger Quarterly tests every 3 months. Quarterly testing is alternately held in Mobile and New Orleans, and the purpose of it is to bring our student body together as a Shaolin family so everyone can demonstrate their skills in a supportive environment.
